IMPROVING ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN WILL ENHANCE COMPETITION

For Immediate Press Release I 8th March 2021

The Zambia Tax Platform (ZTP) recognizes the commemoration of the International Women`s Day with high importance. ZTP identifies women as key actors towards the achievement of sustainable development. The realization of women’s human rights and the empowerment of all women and young ladies alike is fundamental to accomplishing the economic goals of a country.

For over a century, the International Women’s Day (IWD) has seen millions of people celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. In an effort to fashion positive action, IWD witnesses a number of energizing and critical missions pointed at raising more noteworthy awareness on issues affecting women’s equality worldwide.

As Zambia joins the international community to celebrate this year`s International Women`s Day themed “Choose to Challenge”, ZTP wishes to entreat stakeholders to forge inclusive work cultures where women’s careers flourish and accomplishments are celebrated.

Let us, all together- male and female alike, take meaningful actions against practices that undermine women’s ability to contribute towards national development. It falls on us all to ensure that the economic opportunities are distributed equally to both men and women of our country.

A challenged world is an alert world. Choose to Challenge! Happy International Women`s Day
